I am the girl whose heart controls her mind. If my heart tells me something is not right, my mind just follows the course. Owing to this nature of mine, I've fallen into trouble a few times, coz your heart is not always right. You need to use your brains- that's what you are supposed to do ...right ??
One of my goals for new year was to rectify my mistakes and switch up my way of approaching things. One way to do so was to learn from successful people and their success stories. We all look at those handful of successful people and go like - " what is that intrinsic quality these people have and how the hell can they accomplish so much ??" I am sure I am not the only person who thinks like this as each day flies by, but yet stuck with an enormous list of things to-do.
Oprah has been of utmost inpsiration to me and her life and success story has been so empowering. I know I can't be like her, she is undeniably strong but I can idealize her approach and life-lessons and use that for my betterment.
So what is that these successful people do and we don't ?????
1) THEY WORRY LESS ABOUT WHAT OTHERS THINK - I get it people, it's really easy to fall into the trap of worrying about what the world thinks about you. It is human nature and we all fall into this trap almost everyday and I am no exclusion. I am a part of the world where there is so much criticism and I do worry about all that negativity in my life. But what sets the winners apart is their ability to come out of that trap and overcome that feeling everyday. I am sure when they started out, they had this feeling everyday, but they mastered the skill of defying all odds, and that makes them a WINNER!
2) THEY MAKE NO EXCUSES -Been there, done that!! We all do and if we don't stop then there will be no progression. It is human nature to make excuses and blame others for what is happening in their respective lives. It takes a lot of courage to stand up to one's doings and take responsibilities for one's situations. It is very easy to put everything on luck and present and not hold up to our own expectations. Setting aside/postponing something with just the fear of it failing is what we all do. But winners seldom make excuses. They don't make excuse for why their idea won't work, instead they spend their time trying to chip away at their goals.
3) THEY ARE NOT DEFINED BY FAILURE - Easier said than done, but most of us let failure define us. We do something, we fail, and most of us never back to doing that thing again, merely coz the fear of failing again surfaces. I have done it and I am sure you have too. But imagine if Thomas Edison gave up the first time he failed in the light bulb invention. But he was a winner and after his 10,000th effort he gave us the light bulb! Winners don't let failure control them. They are far from this feeling and even it was there at any point of their life, they've not given up and strived till success was achieved.
4) THEY SHOP BLOOMINGDALE'S SALE- this post started on a serious note and so to loose up the tone, I had to add this point. Bloomingdales friends and family sale is in full swing and as a friend and your family, it is my responsibility to deliver this winning news to you. I have rounded up my favorite pieces from their sale, including the jeans and similar heels. Good luck, may you be the deal-winner.
