Flowers for Fall

The violets are not blooming at my feet, but on this skirt I made the same way I made this one here. I had wanted to make a DIY skirt for the longest time, but I couldn't find the time and when I did I couldn't find the energy and when I did I couldn't find the enthusiasm. At the end, I created the time, reserved the energy and worked up the enthusiasm with which I settled into the quiet, meditative process of making this pleated skirt and even though it is not perfect I'm taking pleasure in saying that I did it.
I love the violet and lavender floral on the dark background of this fabric. Wore it with this relaxed denim shirt and put some flowers in my hair.
