My daughter loves carnivals. Loves the rides. Loves the food. Loves the games. Can't say I blame her. Carnivals are wicked. And since the local carnival/kids playland opened up this summer, she had to have her party there.
So that's what we did. The kids enjoyed rides on the carousel, ferris wheel and train, then we headed back to our place for some food and games.Check it out!
I didn't get any pictures of the kids having their corn dogs, corn on the cob and watermelon. After the park, they built up quite the appetite that they ate so fast.
The dessert table consisted of cotton candy (of course), taffy, pixie sticks, lollipops, popcorn, mini donuts, cupcakes and chocolate dipped pretzels.
The kids each sipped on Jones soda with their corn dogs and goodies.
And because a cake AND cupcakes is so much for their little tummies. I made a faux cake for my hand painted carousel to sit upon.
As for the games, we had a ping pong toss, balloon darts, and ring toss.
With some fun prizes, of course!
We created her own marquee lights, too.
Here's my 8 year old birthday girl!
Duck lips and all.
My husband tried his hand at a few balloon animals for the kids.
The kids loved getting their faces painted too.
Happy Birthday!!
