Flats Challenge: Day 2

By Craftycrunchymama
I am taking part in the Second Annual Flats and Handwashing Challenge hosted by Dirty Diaper Laundry.  For 7 days I will be using only flat cloth diapers and handwashing them in an effort to prove that cloth diapering can be affordable and accessible to all.  You can learn more about the rules and why this challenge was started by visiting the announcement post.  This year there are over 450 participants from all over the world!
This is the second day of the challenge and it is going extremely well. Hardly a wrinkle in our normal system. I hand washed last night for the first time and it took me about 15 minutes of actual washing and maybe 15 or so to iron and hang them up. (You don't have to iron, but I like to kill germs and it makes them dry faster.)
So what am I using for the challenge?
I have: 18 birdseye flats, quite a few waterproof covers (Thirsties, GroVia, Blueberry, Flip, Best Bottom), two pocket diapers for night time (GoGreen), one snappi (where my other four went, I will never know), and some cloth wipes.

I am using a five gallon bucket and plunger to wash. When I am home I dry the diapers on my laundry room line. I am visiting family right now, so they go wherever (on the porch railings, the back of outdoor furniture, etc.).
Here is my little dude asleep for the night in two birdseye flats (one pad folded inside of a diaper bag fold) enclosed in a Flip cover.
