Flash is now on the run but he gets by with a little help from his friends. That magical fruit that packs a punch helps them move away. With Zarkov doing a little bit of sabotage and others helping Flash escape, they manage to get out safely. A big section of the book an explanation of how Flash and the crew are able to travel through different galaxies. The book ends with the crew taking off in their jet.
My favorite panel in this book was right at the beginning when Dale yells “FLASH!” and he goes “AH-AHHH!” I’m not sure if that was 100% intentional to reference the Queen song but I like to believe so. This was also very informative in the aspect of understanding how things work in this world of Flash. I feel that this particual chapter gave me a better grasp on the Flash Gordon story as a whole. Now that this is going to go beyond this one planet, who knows what kind of trouble Flash will cause throughout the universe. He at least is making some friends along the way.
