Flash did it again. He acted without thinking it through and now he has to pay the consequences. But he’s Flash Gordon so he should be able to handle it, right?
Picking up right where issue 2 left off, Flash tries to destroy the machine that are making these man beasts. After successfully setting back the progress on the island a few months, Flash, Dale, and Zarkov’s identities are revealed after a call is placed to the place they say they are from. Ming of course recognizes Flash and instead of just having him executed, he has him sentenced to fight a battle against multiple of the beast creatures. This fight reminds me of the end of the Coneheads movie a bit. Flash is using his skills and taking down some of these creatures. To our surprise he starts to get some help from some unlikely candidates.
This series is starting to get better and better as I read it. Flash Gordon’s cocky attitude is shining bright in this book. The action is really starting to pick up and I think the story is moving along at a good pace. Since the book ends in a bit of an explosive cliffhanger, we will have to wait until next month to see the fate of Flash.
