Five Ways to Step up Your Fitness Game Today

I've always struggled with weight and hence it becomes all the more essential for me to watch what I eat and how I keep any excess weight at bay. A little leniency at my end and I rack up pounds like nobody's business. Last year took a new turn, I had a new office job, a new house, family visiting from India- with all that, my health and diet were thrown off the track. Nothing would fit me right, as I had gained eight pounds and struggled even more to lose the same. But this year I was determined to shed that weight. I was ready to take charge of this institution called BODY. Undeniably, it was hard at the beginning but with a fool-proof diet-plan, a little determination and a push from hubs got me through it. Once you get a hang of it, there will be no looking back. You will sleep better, your body will feel lighter and you will love your body.
I have lost four pounds so far and feeling fly. My clothes fit better, a little snug still, but I am so ready to shed that remaining four. Of course, it didn't happen or will happen overnight. I had a plan and these five must-haves that were my ally all the way.  If you are looking to step up your fitness game, then I would suggest :
GETTING A GYM MEMBERSHIP- no matter what your determination level, you definitely need that boost at some point. I always thought that "I could do it all by myself," I would do yoga few mornings a week, but then my enthusiasm diminished and I went from four days to no days of yoga per week. Waking up in the morning felt cumbersome and gradually I lost all interest. But trust me, ever since I joined the 305 fitness class, I feel like a whole new person. I look forward to working out and working out in a group keeps me going, despite the rigorousness of the class. There is so much energy and positivity. and motivation.  Membership could be a concern, but being able to work with a professional to address and work as per your body's needs makes so much sense. I would highly recommend you to try out a couple of classes, which most of the fitness centers offer complimentary these days, before you commit to anything. I found my confidant in 305 fitness, you need to find yours.

INVESTING IN PROPER ACTIVEWEAR:  every retailer under the roof now offers multitudinous activewear options. Be it gym, yoga, pilates, hiking, biking, running, tennis or any other fitness or sport, there is an entire activewear lineup to choose from. If you are really into fitness, you should definitely invest some time in buying the right fitness gear.  Everyone needs to own a pair of leggings, a sports bra, a windbreaker and an active jacket. I am guilty of not exercising owing to ill-fitted activewear. My sports bra was always the wrong size, coz I would never try them out in a store and then be lazy to exchange it, and later I would resort to that as an excuse to not exercise. But I'm glad the sizings now are more specific and you can now buy your sports bra the same size as your regular bra. Good fitting activewear definitely takes you a long way in sticking to your regimen, take my word!

BUYING A GOOD PAIR OF SNEAKERS-  a good pair of sneakers is a must-have for everyone. People need to differentiate between fashion sneakers and fitness sneakers.  Fashion sneakers, as the name suggests are meant for everyday wear, but the workout sneakers are your fitness-buddy. Fashion sneakers will not give you the support and cushion you need while working out. Always take time to try and buy, when in the market for buying fitness sneakers. There are sneakers for running, gymming and other sports too. I would suggest buying one that is a low-platform, has slight padding and that works just right for running and gymming.
