It wasn't until 2005 when the Monday following Thanksgiving was christened as Cyber Monday by Shop.org . Since then it has become a major and second most popular shopping event that shoppers look forward to each year. But in the last couple years online shopping has generally become popular, people prefer shopping from the comfort of their homes even on Black Friday making BF as comparable to CM.
This year Cyber Monday started a day early and I've already done the needful. While this online shopping event may have lost some charm, it still continues to be a favorite and I've rounded up a few reasons why you should shop Cyber Monday this year.
1) It is the biggest shopping day of the year
Despite the recent change in shopper's preference to skip the store crowds on Black Friday and shop online, the statistics show that 90% of the retailers partake Cyber Monday sale which surpasses the number participating Black Friday.

2) The discounts are much deeper on CM.
Now that the shopping trend has changed for Black Friday and has relatively become a mini version of Cyber Monday, retailers are willing to offer deeper discounts to keep the shopping inclination going on Cyber Monday. They offer site-wide discounts which are usually better and much more enticing than the Black Friday ones. Retailers even offer free shipping which saves you a chunk right away.
3) It is the best day to shop television.
If the new QLED or OLED is on your list, Cyber Monday is your best deal bet. Televisions have the highest price drop as high as 21% percent off the retail price on Cyber Mondays. We upgraded our smart LED TV to QLED and this one that we ordered earlier today was a deal we couldn't pass.
4) Your favorite store is a part of the Cyber Monday retailer list.
Any guesses which retailer I'm referring to here?? Well, none other than Amazon... ( drumroll) Amazon is by far the most visited retailer on Cyber Monday and with each passing year the sales keep getting better. So if you have electronics, Amazon Fire, Alexa on your wish list, this is your day to avail the online sale and discounts.
