While the weather in general has started to warm up, there are still times when you wish you wore something warm...hello Spring! When the weather says 68 but the breeze makes you yearn for a little extra warmth. Nothing heavy but something lightweight especially during the wee and evening hours of the day.
Spring is the time when we all transition from the thick winter layering to light knits. We replace the heavier coats with thin knits and spring-friendly fabrics. Fabrics like suede, denim, tweed, jacquard that aren't as thick but still keep you warm.
Personally, I am a huge fan of jackets and coats and given the opportunity and sartorial-approval, I would wear them all year round. So when the idea of this post sparked, I was all smiles. I knew what outfit to wear, what styles to include in the list of jackets/outerwear you need for this in-between weather.
A Bomber Jacket is traditionally a short (waist-length) outerwear that has a gathered, ribbed waistband and matching cuffs. It has a zipper front and often has four functional pockets at the top and sides. It is the most effortless piece one can ever own. pairs well with everything. And when you remove the gathered waistband and cuffs- bomber becomes a motto. Leather and suede are the commonly uses fabric, but silk, cotton, have made their way to the fabrication as well.

TRENCH COAT
A trench coat is a coat variety made of waterproof heavy-duty cotton gabardine drill, leather, or poplin. It generally has a removable insulated lining, raglan sleeves, and the classic versions come in various lengths ranging from just above the ankles (the longest) to above the knee (the shortest). Think of it as your overcoat but in a lightweight, weather-proof fabric.
It's a wardrobe staple and every woman should own one plain and one printed version of it.

JEAN JACKET
The quintessential denim/jean jacket, a wardrobe staple that every girl can rely on. A denim jacket, also called a jeans jacket or trucker jacket, is a jacket made from denim. Introduced in the United States in the late 20th century, it has been a popular type of casual apparel with both men and women. It has been described as an iconic element of American fashion.
I would suggest a owning few different hem lengths and fit styles for styling variety. I have a cropped style with shorter sleeves, an oversized one and a well-fitted one with ruffles.

UTILITY JACKET
Autility jacket is an uber useful piece in a well-edited wardrobe. Just like a denim jacket, it isn't too dressy and it isn't too casual. It has the power to take "dressy" things down a notch AND to make "casual" things feel more elevated. I love a good utility jacket for the chilly evenings. Club it with your jeans, teaser, skirts or dresses-it is so wearable.

PUFFER VEST / QUILTED vest
Puffer Jackets have become popular, trendy and reliable spring favorite over the last few years, and not without reason. Filled with either down or synthetic materials, puffer jackets are excellent insulators, which means that they work to retain your heat and regulate body temperature keeping you warm but not sweaty.
It has an athletic feel to it but athleisure is a hot trend too. I like to layer mine over button downs, henley shirts and even long sleeve dresses. It is such a versatile spring piece.
