PVR Pictures have launched the first look of their upcoming movie ‘Shanghai’ today. The movie is directed by Dibakar Banerjee and its star casts are Abhay Deol, Emraan Hashmi, Kalki Koechlin, Prosenjit Chatterjee, Pitobash Tripathy, Farookh Sheikh, Kanchi Shinde and Anant Jog. Most of the actors in the movie will be sharing the screen space for the first time – except for Abhay Deol and Kalki Koechlin. The first look of the film which has Abhay Deol, Kalki Koechlin and Emraan Hashmi is already creating a stir.
‘Shanghai’ is a thriller set against the backdrop of politics and survival. This is Dibakar Banerjee’s fourth movie and is being inspired by director Costa Gavras 1969 film Z. The movie talks about the present roller coaster expose of big money politics and how the common man gets his revenge back.
The movie ‘Shanghai’ is set to hit theatres on June 8th, 2012.
