By Breanne_banessi

Hi ya’ll!So the other weekend I had my little nieces First Communion and omg she looked so adorable!!! (still waiting on the pictures from Auntie). It was great to be with my uncles and aunts and see the rest of my extended family, but even better was to see my niece all dolled up like a little princess.Even though I was having so much fun, I couldn’t help but think about the fashion choices that went into that day, so I wanted to take today’s post and talk about First Communion fashion:
First Communion Fashion
It’s important to find the right clothes to dress your little one in, so you can create memories to last a lifetime. The appropriate attire for your child for first communion is a simple white dress. Many places selling first communion exclusive dresses can cost you over $100, but I’m here to give you some tips to make the occasion an affordable and a memorable one.
There are many retailers out there that have a first communion specific section, however, opt to go against that. A plain white dress will get you a great dress that’s affordable saving you a ton, so you can use the extra cash to celebrate afterwards with a first communion gathering. For a stylish and affordable dress I easily found thisPrincess Faith Floral Embroidered Dress from Kohls. It’s available in two colors, ivory & white, so you can assure she’ll look her best for her first communion. You see, finding a dress for first communion is easy to do! Just shop your favorite bargain retailer for a white dress and then style it appropriately, so your daughter sports a classy first communion ensemble. Be sure to pick up a pair of white dress shoes and white stockings to wear with the dress too. Remember when it comes to first communion clothing, it’s all about white, white, white!
Make your daughter’s first communion dress stand out by accessorizing it. Since it’s a first communion look, you don’t want to overdo your accessorizing, so go subtle by adding a headband to her hair. ThisFULL TILT Crochet Headband from Tilly’s is a great way to add floral to her look. It’s extremely affordable and will match any white dress perfectly. She can wear her hair up or down with this headband, and best of all it can be used after first communion to style any other look!
Her first communion look wouldn’t be complete without jewelry! Because it’s first communion a few pieces of jewelry are highly appropriate to commemorate the special event. Whether you’re gifting jewelry or using jewelry on her big day, there are many great choices out there. I personally prefer having her accessorized with earrings to avoid distractions that a necklace or bracelet could cause. Unfortunately, at the time she didn’t have her ears pierced; thankfully, I was able to find a great pair of magnetic earrings, so she was able to still look lovely without having to rush to get her ears pierced. There are a wide selection of affordablemagnetic earrings in all sorts of designs and styles available online. I recommend going for a pair of silver round cut faux diamond earrings or emerald cut, rather than colored or gold magnetic earrings, which may cause a distraction to the nature of her look. A simple pair of magnetic earrings is the perfect way to complete her look on her big day.
