An FIR has been lodged against newly-elected Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) MPA Ghulam Dastagir Lak for allegedly raping his housemaid.
Lak was elected as MPA from PP-29 constituency of Sargodha in May 11 general elections.
According to FIR, in November last year, Lak summoned his housemaid Iram BB at his Dera for work.
When, accompanied with her brother – Aslam – Iram reached at the Dera, Lak’s servants detained Aslam in a room upon his order. Aslam repeatedly raped young Iram the whole night and threatened her of dire consequences if she informed anyone about the incident.
Iram BB filed the application against Lak in Jhal Jhakian Police Station but police prevaricated from lodging the FIR.
Iram’s medical check-up was done on November 20 upon the direction of local magistrate Ghulam Sarwar. Police again refused to lodge FIR despite of getting the copy of medical report.
Dejected from everywhere, Iram given the application to provincial ombudsman, who directed police to register case against Lak and his two servants.
