This is a fun weekly link up hosted by Lisa (Coastlined), Jen (The Arizona Rssums) and Becky (The Java Mama)
I don’t get enough… time with my camera. I used to keep my camera downstairs, but I brought it upstairs so I’d see it more and hopefully use it more. It has helped, but not as much as I want. I have a road block in my brain because I feel that I barely know the basics of photography and that’s frustrating to me. I have been reading a few different books and even taking an online photography course, but honestly, I just need to pick up my camera every time I leave the house. That’s what will really teach me and make me a better photographer.

My favorite indulgence… Sushi! Jared doesn’t like sushi, so that already makes sushi rare in my life. Also, I tend to want a variety of sushi, but I eat like a bird. When I order 2 rolls and an appetizer, it really isn’t cost effective when I only eat half. I try to make sushi an indulgence so that I don’t feel guilty. Luckily tonight I’m going out with some friends to indulge!
I made a major change in my life when… I was depressed. Depression runs in my family and yet it’s been such a different journey for all of us. I was in a pretty bad place a few years ago. I would take nyquil so I could go to sleep at 8pm and stay in bed until 10am. I hated being awake, because I wanted to cry all the time and couldn’t even put my finger on why I was filled with so much sadness. It took a long time to realize how I could help myself. Fortunately I was able to eventually turn my life around and make it a life that I wanted to stay up for AND wake up for.
You should read… Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand. Jared and I actually downloaded this book onto our iPod and listened to it in the car. It took us a few weeks to finish, since we could only listen when we were in the car together, but this book is good! Here is a quick summary on her website, “On a May afternoon in 1943, an Army Air Forces bomber crashed into the Pacific Ocean and disappeared, leaving only a spray of debris and a slick of oil, gasoline, and blood. Then, on the ocean surface, a face appeared. It was that of a young lieutenant, the plane’s bombardier, who was struggling to a life raft and pulling himself aboard. So began one of the most extraordinary odysseys of the Second World War.”
_____ is my secret ingredient in… I love to make lil smokies. They are the easiest thing to make, since all you have to do is plop them in the crock pot. My mom taught me to cover the lil smokies in the BBQ sauce, so I always add spicy BBQ sauce and recently I found my secret ingredient, ONIONS. If you throw a cup of onions into the crock pot, it makes a delicious marinade to soak the lil smokies in. Wha-la!
