Well-known filmmaker of Indian Cinema Madhur Bhandarkar has been chosen to receive the Raj Kapoor Smriti Award from Maharashtra State Government for his contribution to Indian Cinema.
He will be honoured at a ceremony to be held in Mumbai to celebrate Raj Kapoor Smriti Awards.
The 45 year old filmmaker has so far won four National Awards for his films Chandani Bar, Page 3, Fashion and Traffic Signal.
Madhur is now busy in his next project Calendar Girls, which is based on lives of real life calendar girls.
Apart from Madhur, actress Tanuja and Marathi actress Uma Bhende will also be receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Raj Kapoor Smriti Awards.
