Well-known Filmmaker Kiran Rao, who started her Bollywood career over a decade ago, is a strong supporter of good cinema. In order to pursue her passion, she has launched her own production banner and will be producing films under the banner titled Kiran Rao.
The 39 year old director would like to support new talent and present films that are good quality content.
The first film to be produced by Kiran’s banner will be Ship Of Theseus (SOT). The project will be directed by Anand Gandhi.
The purpose of this production company is not to let good independent cinema remain in the confines of anonymity and finding a relatively wider release.
The source says: “Kiran is very proud of her new venture and always likes to be a part of creative process especially if the content is good.”
When contacted, Kiran confirms the news, but refuses to divulge any more information.
