"I can't live without her. She is my life. How do you expect me to live without her?" He took out his head from his hands and looked up at me as he finished speaking those words.
I look at him and reply with a hit of asperity in my tone, "James, you have to understand what I am trying to say. You love her, accepted. She also used to like you. Again, fine. You both are great friends. Okay, that's  alright. You confessed but only found out that you were late and she is in love with someone else and shares all her experiences with him to you.
Now, you are ruining her life behind her. I accept that it's extremely cute and sweet that you care for her a lot and you don't want to leave her. You want to be with her so you're waiting for her to come back to you. Don't you?"
He answered with a bit of wariness in his voice, "Yes. I'll wait for my turn. I can only imagine my future with her. No one else can take her place. She is the perfect one for me. No one else is that good."
I looked deep into his eyes and took a deep breath and spoke,
"James, you live your life for yourself. Not for your parents, not for her and definitely not for me. It's your life and you decide what to do with it. There's only one thing you can't do. You can't let it got to waste. Get up and do something productive with it.
As long as for waiting for her, sure it's very chivalrous and an affable gesture, but, let me say that people are born in this world with their soulmates already decided. The souls are split up and they reside in a male and a female. Your other half will be in a girl. Sure, you might end up deciding on some other girl apart from your soul mate and will end up regretting it - take that from me.
You might create your own destiny James, but, if that destiny is not meant for you, fate will surely step in and make the choice for you. And, if you try to anger fate, you might end up losing her. Why? Because fate has already decided that you'll end up with your soulmate and no one else can take that spot in your heart. After all, your soulmate is your other half.
We all are born with an invisible string tied around out ankles. That string is one half of the other string.
James, you'll only feel complete when you find that girl with the other half of your string, and take it from me, she will be way better than anybody else. She'll be the one who will reside in your heart.
James, wake-up. Don't ruin your life, please."
James looked deep in thought as he heard me finish speaking the last sentence. He looked up at me after five minutes of going deep in thoguht. He grins and replied,
"Austin, you sure know how to convince  people. You're right. I'll give up on her and start working hard for a better life. After all, someone better out there is waiting for me. And there's no point in waiting for her to come to me. I'll go in search for her.
After all, she may be the one meant for me. She is waiting for me at the end of the tunnel Austin, and if I don't cross the tunnel, I won't get her.
Thanks a lot, Austin.
I will always remember you for what you did for me."
