Holidays are almost here (Ho, Ho, Ho!) and the festive spirit is beginning to take me over. Completely, I might add. So many recipes I want to try and taste. So many gifts I want to buy and make. It’s never a good idea for me make gifts as they usually are still in some corner of my home office the next Christmas – unfinished. Still every Christmas I have the urge for DIY. Sometimes what interferes with this splash of DYI urge are the the wintery skies looking quite dark and rain pouring down frequently at least in London. That darkness and shortness of December days can sometimes make me feel tired and uninspired wanting a splash of summer. So what better than be transferred into the hot and sizzling Brazil – at least in my mind (not literally, even though I would not be against that) – for a moment while sipping a festive Caipirinha.
Cranberry Caipirinha is a splash of festive color which immediately invites you in for a sip. And another. And another. It goes down very, very easily like Santa down the chimney on Christmas Eve. So delish is the taste that even Santa might prefer this over milk and cookies. Ok, that would not be a very good Santa, would it now? Moving on…
Cranberries belong to Christmas like at least one Eggnog Latte from Starbucks. Or watching Love Actually on Christmas Eve. Or Champagne with Christmas lunch. Ok, so I could go on and on… All I am gonna say is that from now on Cranberry Caipirinha will also belong to my Christmas routine.
