Felt for My Bag

By Saumya Shiohare @myriadmusings1
When the weather is bad and staying indoors is the wisest, actually the only option available, I prefer to utilize this time doing things that give an outlet to my creativity and also keeps daughter occupied.  I had been wanting to do this DIY felt flower ( or circle design ) clutch, ever since I saw this Roger Vivier (  couldn't find the real one online) satin clutch.
These felt flowers were the prettiest, easiest, non-messiest  DIY I have ever done. You could use fabrics like felt, satin and tissue for this kind of a DIY. So lets get started:

FELT FOR MY BAG

Things you'll need- a clutch, some complementing colored felt sheets, crystals/rhinestones, candle and matches, pair of scissors, a pencil and a glue gun.  FELT FOR MY BAG
Using the pencil draw and cut circles in three different sizes.  You could cut more sizes for heavier looking flowers.  FELT FOR MY BAG
Play around with the cutouts until you like the arrangement. I would suggest marking the spots where you'd like the final placement.  FELT FOR MY BAG
This step is totally optional. Since I wanted that crinkled petal like look for my flowers, I decided to do it.  Hold the circles, one at a time, about an inch from the flame for about a few seconds or till you get them crinkled.  Keep rotating till the circle is crinkled through. Be careful not to burn the felt pieces.  FELT FOR MY BAG
Now glue the flower circles together. Thereafter glue them to the bag. Finish off with crystals and voila!  FELT FOR MY BAG
P.S- These flowers can be used for a lot of other at home crafts, head here to see those ideas.
Hope you like this fun and easy DIY! Have a great day and thanks for stopping by. XO
