February GlossyBox!

By Daisybelle @DaisyBelle_blog
I was surprised to be woken up by the delivery man this morning as he was holding my February Glossybox? I was super happy to get but it has come very early this month as it normally arrives around the middle so give yourselves a pat on the back Glossybox team! As well as that, I got this box free because I cashed in my 'glossydot points' that you get from doing surveys on the products you receive each month and I had finally saved enough for a free box!
So, as expected, this month's theme was Valentines-inspired with the name being "Will you be ours?" and the box is a darker pink color with a flower-shaped bow on the front. I loved the packaging this month as they even changed the ribbon, paper and the sticker to match, aw.

The first item was..

Model Co- Eyeshadow Duo Palette in Bronzed Goddess
I was expecting big things from this eyeshadow duo when I first saw it. The two colours are really wearable and the packaging is compact so doesn't take up a lot of room and also it has an inbuilt mirror for on-the-go. But the colours are very shimmery and are quite hard to apply as brushes don't pick the color up, only a the shimmers, so I think the lighter color is best applied with your fingers. I think these eyeshadows are just bad quality and I definitely wouldn't recommend paying £18 for the trio as there are products such as the Heaven and Earth palette by MUA for a fraction of the cost.

Micabella Cosmetics- Mineral Blush Powder
This product is a mineral blush powder that offers a hint of color and natural glitter that can be applied to the cheeks and temples for a healthy translucent glow. The shade I got was 'Siera Suede' which is a peach'y terracotta color but isn't really one i'd go for so I don't think I will get much use out of it. Also the sample size pot is quite hard to put my blusher brush into.

Helen E Cosmetics- Moisturising Lipstick

This was probably the worst product I received this month due to the color of the lipstick I got and I don't think the product lives up to what it claims to do. It is meant to be a 'creamy, moisturising range of natural and vibrant colours' but when applying it I found it to be quite dry and did not moisturise my lips at all. Also the product comes off very easily so the staying power is not great. The color is a dark brown with a hint of red which is not up my street at all as it takes the 'vampy' look to the extreme in my opinion. The packaging also rattles when I shake it and is very plastic which I don't think gives it a high end feel which Glossybox products are meant to be.

Anatomicals- "You need a blooming shower!" Body Cleanser

This is my second Anatomicals product I have received in a GlossyBox and I have to say I do quite like their products. This cleanser features the 'natural healing properties' of rose and jasmine so is very floral which isn't my favorite shower scent. I'm not over the moon about this product but I will keep it in my shower until it's gone.

Docteur Renaud- Raspberry Soft Cream

Raspberry is my favorite fruit and scent so I love any product that smells of raspberries such as this soft hydrating care cream that combines 4 raspberry extracts that offer the skin suppleness, comfort and protection all day long. It says to apply morning and/or evening to face and neck which I am looking forward to doing now I have this!

GlossyBox also added a little heart lollipop as an extra for Valentines Day, how nice!
Overall, I think the February box was good! I am looking forward to trying out most of the products featured!
