KARACHI: Dr Fauzia Siddiqui has challenged former president Pervez Musharraf in electoral arena. She has filed nomination papers from NA-250. Dr. Fauzia Siddiqui is sister of Pakistani neuroscientist Dr. Afia Siddiqui who is detained in United States on terrorism charges. .
Talking to media after filing her nomination papers Dr. Fauzia Siddiqui said that former dictator is symbol of oppression and exploitation and has brought national shame to Pakistan by handing over Afia Siddiqui to America.
She predicted that she will be a returned candidate from NA-250 and will serve to eradicate terrorism, abductions and human trafficking.
Former army chief and President Pervez Musharraf has filed nomination papers from NA-250 (Karachi), NA-32 (Chitral) and NA-48 (Islamabad). Other candidates from NA-250 include Dr. Arif Alvi of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf, Farooq Sattar of Muttahida Qaumi Movement and former city nazim Niamatullah Khan of Jamat-i-Islami.
