Does anyone else struggle when it comes to buying gifts for men? I get so stuck, esuscialky when you ask them what they want and you get the same response each time 'i don't know'...right, aftershave and socks it is. Ok I'm actually pretty good at getting good gifts, for Bens first birthday we were together for, I got him Bill Bailey tickets, 4 rows from the front, top girlfriend! Ha.
This year will be his first Fathers Day so want to do something special and get him something he can keep and treasure, But I'll have to keep it a secret as he reads this...If you're looking for something a little special albeit still awesome, check out my collection below..
1. Subutteo! Now Ben already has this and raves about it, it's a football game that has been around for years, gives him a chance to relive his youth a bit
2. Sudoku rubix cube - Definitely something I would get for Ben, I think all men like a challenge and this certainly gets your mind working, now, I'll admit that I've never completed a rubix cube.... but I have completed many sudokus (I feel a little old but proud!) ha! Ben is a genius when it comes to numbers and sudokus so he'd probably finish this before even taking it out the packaging! Ha.
3. Big jar of sweets! Need I say more? Everyone loves the old school sweets, refreshers, love hearts, drumstick Lollys! He will love this and hopefully hell share it with you too!
4. PAC man bottle opener - I just loved the look of this, everyone knows who pacnan is so why not take him back to his childhood! It's funky, unique and will definitely get comments from your guests!
5. Bake a cake! Something completely different and something hr definitely won't expect! It doesn't have to be fancy but try and include some of his favorite things! This is also a great one to get the kids involved with too!
6. Personalised Poster - you may have seen my previous post on personalised posters, why not get one for him specially from his little girl or boy? You can make it say whatever you like, funny, cute or something to make him well up, he can show it off in his office, at work, on the fireplace, wherever he likes :)
7. A new TV - boys and their toys..what would we do without a good television! Gone are the days of big backed, small screen and white noise as your background..you don't have to spend a fortune but he'll love setting it all up and plugging bits in, the accomplishment on its own will be enough! Ha!
8. Lunch? - The way into a mans heart is through his stomach, so why not treat him to a luxury lunch at a gorgeous hotel or somewhere a little fancier than normal, you can go alone or make a day of it and take your little one(s) too!
9. Games remote - sounds a little random but he will thank you for it, the more remotes he has, the more friends he can invite round for FIFA & man time!
10. Electronic photo album - I love this idea, add your own photos and it plays a screensaver all day, so whether he's working, at home or just wants to look through some memories, he can be reminded of it all in just a glance!
