Looking for someplace new for a delicious home-cooked breakfast? Check out Fat Nat's Eggs... it is about the food rather than ambiance, and the food is awesome!
We stopped for breakfast one morning this week and I had their HUEVOS RANCHEROES CARNITAS - Carnitas, black beans with spicy salsa verde topped with scrambled eggs, melted pepper jack cheese served on top of two crisp tortillas with a side of our homemade red salsa... it was amazing!
They opened the original restuarant in 2003, in an unassuming strip mall at the corner of Winnetka and 36th in New Hope. Since then they have added restaurants in Edinborough Center in Brooklyn Park and in St. Anthony Village.
It looks like a an old-fashioned diner, so don't go expecting charming ambiance... but it's worth a stop if you are looking for a fresh-cooked, delicious breakfast in a more retro setting. They open at 5:30 am during the week, 6:00 am on the weekend... close after lunch... Fat Nat's Eggs.
