Payday weekend and sales hit pretty much every high-street retailer, coincidence? Na, they aren't that daft. I had a list of things I 'needed', boring stuff like shampoo and deodorant to exciting things such as another pair of black jeans and hats. Most things got ticked off. It's June, it should be blue sky and hot hot hot but it was grey, wet and miserable, Meadowhall benefitted from that, took ages to just get parked, it was rammo!
After getting the boring bits out the way we made our way through Vans, Office, Urban Outfitters, Zara and Topshop before making purchases, checking out whats on offer. Zara is usually on the classier end of the high-street but it looked like a jumble sale, clothes flung everywhere, it makes clothes look cheap, just because they are in the sale it doesn't mean they need to be treated like they were in Primark. The Topshop sale was madness too! So much stuff, too much stuff, too much crap. I usually find a fair few things but no, it was so much effort too, trawling through jam packed rails with stuff that I had never seen before and I know that place pretty well, it's like they dug all the crap out and tried to entice you with the sale sticker.
So I came away empty handed there but oddly Topman was the place for me! I haven't bought anything from there is years but they have become exciting, daring and do XXS, always a bonus! I came away with this cosy, super soft jumper for a tenner, bargain and the lively shirt, also a tenner, right up my street! Weird buying boy clothes, that hasn't happened in a long time!
Urban Outfitters had a few maybes but nothing that I fell for. I had been pining for some Dr. Denim high-waisted jeans but after trying them on I realised I could have saved myself £44 and bought a pair of tights instead, they were so tight it was unreal so I wisely didn't invest. Last stop was back to Vans for the snapback, £13 and trainers for £49, instead of £70. I'd become obsessed with Vans since falling for my DC.
So yeah, my wardrobe is looking pretty vibrant right now.
