No one's a stranger to the goodness of a warm cup of green tea. Call it a cup of liquid gold, drinking green tea used to be a fad amongst the stars. Growing up I remember my mom talking about how the celebrities drank cups of this heavenly water, not only to detox but also to hydrate and get that dewy glow from within. Mom would occasionally make us sip on homemade herbal teas, which at that time annoyed us, but now when I am in the blogging/beauty business, I am glad I am already accustomed to drinking green tea.
Green tea has excellent levels of antioxidants and some of the benefits that you might enjoy as an avid green tea-drinker would be:
- beautiful glowing skin
- slimmer waistline
- healthy heart
- more energy
- lower blood pressure
- allergy relief
- good oral health
- First thing in the morning: nothing can give a better jumpstart to your day than a cup of freshly brewed hot cup of green tea, especially now when the temperatures are dropping.
- On days I am at work I bring Honey Vanilla Chamomile tea in either a thermos flask or a mason jar, that I would usually pop in the microwave for a few secs when I have to drink. This gives me an energy boost and takes care of any stomach bloating.
- After food, a cup of green or herbal tea is a must in my household. Personally, I don't prefer green tea with my food, but yes after my meals- it is a must!
- After a good workout session, I like to bring a lemon based green tea. It just acts as a catalyst in the detoxification process.
- Right before bed, I like to have some sleepytime tea.The valerian in this tea is a natural sleep aid, that calms me down and relaxes any stressed muscle.
- Pretty much everywhere, anytime.
You can find Celestial Seasonings in the tea/spices section at Walmart.
