Greetings, friends! It's Bree here welcoming you to story time.
Story 1: Two for the Price of One
Once upon a time, in a land not so far away, there lived a plucky heroine named Sabrina. Now, Sabrina was meeting strange man after another and getting quite discouraged. While she outwardly enjoyed having the option to have several dates at once, she secretly hoped for just one special man in her life.
On a particularly dull evening, Sabrina decided to search for a new start, a new "hunting ground".  Sabrina kept an open mind and decided to start responding to messages from potential suitors. One young man claimed he only wanted to be friends. Sadly, Sabrina had no true desire for male friendship as she already had enough friends. There were a couple potential suitors.
In a nearby town, there lived two cousins, City Mouse and Country Mouse. They were as different as two mice can be. One was brash, arrogant, and bold. One was shy and quiet. Unbeknownst to Sabrina, both of the mice had contacted her.
Country Mouse had set up a date with Sabrina one Friday evening. He had asked Sabrina if she had a single friend who looked like her. Sabrina was beginning to have her doubts. Still, she stiffened her resolve to meet Country Mouse. Sabrina went to the restaurant a bit early to have a late supper. It was nine o'clock, the time when Country Mouse was supposed to arrive. Sabrina looked impatiently at her phone. Three minutes went by and she decided to find out what was going on. Country Mouse said he was just now leaving and to please wait for him.
Nearly an hour had passed when Country Mouse called asking Sabrina to join him next door. Slightly irritated, she stepped outside. Astonished, she saw not one mouse but two! City Mouse decided to invite himself and proceeded to try and woo Sabrina. Sabrina was not impressed with City Mouse's loud and boisterous bragging and cursing. Country Mouse left for a bit and came back. Sabrina stayed for an hour and decided to end the disastrous evening while she still had dignity.  She asked Country Mouse to escort her back to her car. He seemed polite and respectful and asked if she would be interested in going out with him.
Sabrina agreed and a few days later, Country Mouse set up a date for Tuesday. When Tuesday came, Country Mouse asked if they could reschedule. Sabrina grimaced and agreed. Not surprisingly but to her delight, the mice retired to their village and were never heard from again.
