Facebook Mums Want To Buy Me A Phone

By Therealsupermum @TheRealSupermum

I leave for Australia in 29 days; I am excited and terrified at the same time. I know this is a once in a lifetime opportunity for me and visiting my brother is fantastic as he lives out in Sydney so I rarely get to see him. I am traveling with my mum and my auntie. I am leaving the children and the husband at home. This will be the first time I have ever been away without them.

I will miss the kids and hubby like crazy but I will also miss all my friends online.

I only own a cheap £15 from Morrison’s, it’s the size of a house brick but I can never buy anything more valuable because cash is always needed elsewhere or I just can’t spend silly amounts of money on myself.

I logged onto Facebook to find a group of mums planning to donate a pound each to raise enough money to buy me a phone.

I don’t know what to say

It’s not the money, it’s the phone, it’s the idea that they will miss me as much I will them and they want me to be able to keep in touch and update them about my trip.

Nobody has ever cared enough to buy me anything, with a proper phone I can Facebook and Tweet on the go. It will give me something to do when I am shitting myself stood in airports and I just can’t thank these women enough.

I don’t care if only £8 is raised; the fact the thought was there is worth much more than any amount of money.

I have been asked to add a donation button to the blog and I want to ensure you that anything you donate will go towards a phone and if there is anything left over it would go towards the running costs of the blog. I don’t like accepting money but I also never turn down friendship.

Supermum speachless, now that’s a first.

But thinking about it a phone on the go would be great for the group and my Twitter friends, I could send you fantastic pics of me sunning it away on the beach while your all wrapped up and wearing wellies for the snow
