As I sat here gathering all of the cute fashion finds for this post, a thought hit me. I honestly can’t remember the last time I left my home on a Sunday. In fact, the last time I remember leaving my house on a Sunday afternoon was when I checked out a movie with a friend in April. I have become a Sunday recluse, a hermit trapped in a cave of shoes, purses, and a shit load of beauty samples. Not to mention, a furry pal whos suddenly become Rip Van Winkle and everything else I’m currently staring at as I type this post. Nonetheless, it’s beginning to feel a lot like summer and I have gathered the perfect summer necessities to fit the average woman budget (well at least mine ) from High to Low.
The Perfect Summer Dress – Now is the time that I would normally do my winter shopping from Ralph Lauren. This is the only time of year I can purchase a $229.00 sweater for $39.99! When I seen this dress, I swear bells went off in my head. I absolutely love the cut and the simplicity of the dress. I chose this dress from Ashley Stewart as an alternative to spending $159.00.
Arm Candy- No summer is complete without a colorful handbag to help round off your outfit. Color, color, and more color. The Kate Spade Beverly Breeze tote is totally cute but packs a $368.00 price tag and with Chicago’s sales tax almost hitting 10% this baby would cost me over $400.00. Coach has remixed its Willis Bag (do you remember when Coach was just plain simple leather purses?) bringing a trendy new shape in gorgeous colors. For us budget friendly women, the cute bags from BCBG and Aldo are sure to have us looking trendy on a tight budget both bags are available on 6pm.com.
Heaven Scent – Miss Dior smells heavenly with a mixture of Italian Mandarin Essence, Egyptian Jasmine, and Indonesian Patchouli Essence. The scent is light yet long lasting and is sure to get you compliments. What can I say about Marc Jacobs? Marc Jacobs Cranberry is packed with hints of cranberry, honeysuckle, ginger and musk. From what I understand, this scent will be a limited edition. Lavanila Vanilla Grapefruit organic scents are light and all natural and come in a variety of wonderful scents with a budget friendly price tag.
Every Little Step I Take – Shoes, shoes, and more shoes! The DVF Opal wedges are absolutely adorable, but are on the expensive side for the budget friendly. Actually, I have a similar pair that I purchased from Nine West. The Seychelles wedges are adorable and super comfy although they retail for $98.00 I purchased them from Nordstrom Rack for $23.90. I pick and choose what I spend a great deal of money on and flip flops at $49.99 is not one of them, but they’re totally adorable and come in a wide variety of summer colors. I’m sure if you head out to the Nine West Outlet you could find a pair similar for a fraction of the cost. I’m in love with the mustard color of these 2 Lips Naples Wedges and currently they’re on sale for $29.99….gotta love it!
Just when you thought the universe couldn’t give us anything else, these new water bottles have turned drinking water into a fashionable experience. Say goodbye to those plain Jane water bottles and hello to the new fashionable way to stay hydrated in the summer heat. I have picked up quite a few of these cute water bottles from Marshalls and TJ Maxx for about $4.99
Happy Shopping!
