XTERRA Mud Run is not your ordinary trail run. It will have several obstacles, designed to make all participants sweaty, wet, dirty and very muddy. The event will have two categories, the 10km and 5km trail/obstacle run. Obstacles have varying difficulty, enough to test physical skills and endurance. Each participant must negotiate a specified number of challenges and complete the whole trail race before heading to the finish line
Race Details
* Participants will be released in waves. Wave schedules will be announced after the registration period. Wave plans may change on race day, due to the actual turn out of participants
* Participants are not allowed to change waves
* All participants will be in the assembly or staging area. Participants will be escorted to the starting line according to the wave schedules
* Each obstacle may have several sets to decrease the chances of bottle necks. If the obstacle is occupied, participant must wait for their turn
* Participants are considered a finisher if they complete the whole trail run and obstacle course
* Participants will be released in waves as not to create bottle necks in the race and obstacle course
* Electronic timing will be used for start and finish times of the participants
* The trail run will cover a variety of terrain, hilly, fast descents, slow ascents, fire roads, loose rocks, grasslands, dirt roads, and concrete roads
* Obstacles may involve, climbing, rope skills, crawls, leaping, balancing and carrying
* Marshals and medical teams on standby in the race course and also in the obstacle course
* Do not bring items you are not prepared to loose or get damaged.
