Exit: Stage Left

The hottest love has the coldest end.~Socrates
Hi friends. It's your downtrodden friend, Bree.
My life certainly keeps changing. In my professional life, I'm enjoying week 2 at my new job.
I got to see my (former) Co-Worker earlier this week after work. I was glad and surprised to spend some time with him. I will be meeting him for lunch next week.
Been spending a fair bit of time with Mac Guy. In fact, I will be seeing him back-to-back this weekend.
In spite of these blessings, I am a bit upset about the Comedian. For the last few weeks, he has been flaking out on me due to his busy schedule. I have to admit it's been annoying and frustrating. He is so Jekyll and Hyde particularly when he's been drinking.
Well, we met up for coffee today. I could immediately tell something wasn't right. He seemed tense and uncharacteristically serious. It didn't take long for him to get to the heart of the matter. He told me that it's time for our relationship to end as he's preparing to leave for college next month, etc.
On the bright side, I am not like his exes which he claims were crazy. (Pot dialing kettle: "I just called to tell you...."). I was a bit taken back. I thought we would have another few weeks. But he felt that he owed me to tell me in person (gee, thanks) and that he wanted to do it properly.
Now, the problem is that we have some events that we are both attending. I had asked if we would be ok and he said yes. Trouble is, I don't know if I will be ok. Granted, this was a fling but it has hurt my pride, ego, and my feelings. Yes, he's too immature and "eight buckets of crazy" (Dean Winchester, "Supernatural". And there was the Incident. Not to mention the Jekyll/Hyde personality. Still, it's one less man in my life.
I plan on having a pity party soon along with some heavy drinking.
Until next time,
Bree
