Every Day is Saturday

Every day is Saturday
Monday? What Monday?
Kate Spade's Saturday line proves that Weekend is just a state of mind - and a state of dress. I picked up this Cher Horowitz-approved micro-mini skirt at the new KSS store, one of the latest national brands to call Boston's Prudential Center home. (Hot Tip: Club Monaco is setting up it's flagship store in the Pru, and Nic + Zoe is also opening this season!)
Saturday packed a whole lot into this tiny package, with rich wool fabric (satin-lined, thankfully!!), beautiful pleats, and a wrap effect that actually zippers on, thusly foiling any plans for indecency the wind had in store for me. And the price tag was tiny, too! Ringing in at just $120, I feel super-smart about this back-to-school stunner, and I already know this will definitely be my new fall uniform - pun intended. Be sure to keep an eye out for sales and specials - KSS at the Prudential Center offers a year-roud discount of 15% off to college students.
In keeping with the schoolgirl-chic appeal of the skirt, I paired it with a denim shirt that nods to both casual weekend-wear and Mon-Fri buttoned-up style. A fringed bag and an Ottoman necklace from the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul kept it boho, and snakeskin flats from HM offered an interesting -and comfy! - take on mix-and-match.
