Scouts Honour 2014

Last week, (or it may have been the week before, I have no concept of days anymore!), I attended an event at the lovely vintage shop in Sunderland, Scout Vintage. It was organised by Kayleigh and she done an absolutely brilliant job, as I think this was one of the best events I’ve been to! I feel like I say that after every event, but it was the little touches in this one that made it just that little bit more special :)

I went along with Emily and Sophie, and when we arrived we were greeted with a nice bit of bubbly which is always a sign of good things to come! Then we quickly got chatting to some other local bloggers, it’s so nice to see familiar faces at blog events and when you see the same people regularly it definitely makes it a little less scary. As well as the bubbly on offer, Holmeside Coffee were there with the most amazing iced lattes, and Serendipity Tea and Trinkets provided some rather yummy cupcakes and strawberries for us to munch on. After a nibble and a drink and a catch up with the other girls, I quickly had a rummage around the amazing clothes Angela manages to find! I didn’t find much in my size this time around, but if you’re after some new denim for summer then I’d definitely recommend going down and having a look. Sophie got a really cute cropped denim jacket that I was so jealous of, and there was so many nice shirts and jackets for the boys too. I had my eye on one of the bandanas that are hung around the shop, and I’m glad I didn’t get one as there was a gorgeous red and white patterned one in my goodie bag! I am going to admit something though, my head is too fat :( I know I have a large head, the helmet size guide at Halford’s says so, but that is pretty embarrassing. Don’t worry though, I may get some use out of it putting it on Rufus ;)

My favorite part of the night though had to be getting my hair done by the lovely girls from The Black Door Hairdressing. They done mine in an amazing vintage style that was half pinned up and half curled, and I straight away knew this was who I wanted to do my hair for my 21st birthday it was that good. Afterwards, just to complete the look, I got my makeup done by Tamzin, who had the worlds best eyebrows. I basically need them to work their magic every day to make me look that fabulous all of the time!

Not the best photo, I do look slightly like a crazed lunatic, but it was the best I could do walking down a street! The look didn’t go wasted either, me and Sophie may have went and had a few vodkas in Gatsby after….

So that was my lovely night down at Scout Vintage! What was your favorite blog event you’ve been to? Leave me a comment below or give me a tweet, I’d love to hear! :)

p.s I’m loving Instagram at the minute, come and say hello over there! I’m hannahhepton.
