And here’s the synopsis:
“Strange Magic” is a madcap fairy tale musical inspired by “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” Popular songs from the past six decades help tell the tale of a colorful cast of goblins, elves, fairies and imps, and their hilarious misadventures sparked by the battle over a powerful potion.
Gary Rydstrom will direct Strange Magic. The screen play is written by David Berenbaum, Irene Mecchi and Gary Rydstrom from an idea originally penned by George Lucas (of Star Wars fame). Marius de Vries is listed as musical director and composer and it has been revealed that Strange Love will feature modern day pop songs.
Evan Rachel Wood is not the first True Blood star to lend her voice to a Disney production. Anna Camp recently took on the role of Princess Ivy in the Disney Junior movie entitled Sofia the First: The Curse of Princess Ivy.
