Essie Mint Candy Apple

After featuring Mint Candy Apple in my favorite blue and green polish post (found here), I thought it deserved its own post as I've been loving the color and was the first polish I was drawn to when repainting my nails today. I'm sure most of you will already have heard of the famous Mint Candy Apple from Essie but here are some swatches anyway since I think it is a great summer color and too pretty not to share.

As you can see Mint Candy Apple is a mint green shade which is a lot more on the blue side as opposed to other mints such as Revlon's Minted. The formula of this polish isn't my favorite as I find it to be quite gloopy and hard to work with, although I'm sure this will just be down to age and other factors since I bought this from a blog sale many months ago. Putting the formula aside, I'm in love with this color of this nail polish and after all the effort involved I think it is very much worth it.
