Essie Lights

Essie Lights I hope you don't mind me showing the color on a nail wheel as opposed to my nails because the polish was showing quite a few signs of wear by the time I got around to photographing my nails, sorry!
Today I've got yet another bargain bottle of Essie nail polish that I picked up on Fragrance Direct a few months ago for just £1.99! Lights is from the 2012 Poppy Razzi collection and is described by Essie as an “incandescent super bright pink”. I think this is a very good description for the shade of Lights as it's a gorgeous bright pink which can also appear slightly neon in some lights. I was a bit worried that this bright pink might be a bit too bright against my pale skin but there was nothing to worry about as it even manages to make my hands look a bit more tanned than they actually are. The formula of this polish was nice enough as it's quite thick which means you can get an opaque color in just 1 coat, although I added another coat just to make sure I could show you the color as true to life as possible. Once again the larger brush on the diffusion line Essie bottles makes application so quick and simple as you can cover your nail so easily. All in all I've been loving this bright shade as it's perfect for summer and I'm sure it would look amazing against a golden tan on holiday!
