Essie Go Ginza

By Behindtheseclosedeyes @theseclosedeyes
I'm back with another nail post so soon because I was a little bit naughty and made another order of Essie polishes on Fragrance Direct (whoopsies). I really can't say no to a bargain and at £1.99 a pop they're hardly going to break the bank! I ended up buying 5 shades as the Spring 2013 collection is currently being sold on Fragrance Direct & I'm so glad that I did because the shades are absolutely gorgeous. My favorite out of the bunch has to be Go Ginza which I also included in a wishlist post months ago.

Go Ginza is a beautiful pale lavender shade that leaves my nails looking so pretty and polished, and with the color being a more neutral shade it's great for any occasion. If you saw how many bottles of lilac & pale pink nail polish I already had in the drawer then you'd think I'd gone crazy after buying yet another one, but there's something different about this shade. The closest in my stash would be Models Own Utopia which is a very pale lilac shade with a hint of grey, whereas Go Ginza definitely has more of a soft pink hint to it which makes it such a pretty nail polish.
Application was lovely due to the larger brush on the Essie diffusion line, and the formula was also nice enough as I managed to get an opaque color in 2 coats. I do tend to apply my nail polish quite thick to make sure I'm covering everything on the nails, but im sure you could still get an opaque finish in 2 coats if you apply it lighter than I do. Wear time has been great so far as I've managed to go about 5 days with no signs of chipping, although the tips are starting to show signs of wear and tear which is to be expected (especially after everything they go through while I'm at work). All in all I'm very happy to finally have my hands on this shade and would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a soft and neutral nail polish. You can still order Go Ginza and plenty more Essie shades on Fragrance Direct for just £1.99!
