My mother always suggests that I should not ‘judge a Book by it’s Cover’ but in reality that’s what most of us do. Right ? We go to the store, pick up the book with the most attractive Stolyline or Illustrations and happily bring it home. And what happens next ? Most of us just give up after we read the first few pages and discover- it’s a waste of Time. Well, Today I want to show you a Brand I heard of from a few International websites and when I saw these on Amazon I grabbed two products to try out . These are not the lipsticks you would love for it’s packaging, but these amaze me with it’s performance at the affordable price. I agree, these were the most unexpected finds and I’ve loved how I’ve been wrong (In a Good Way of course) to judge them by their packaging and price. I’ve used many high end and raved products and more often than not, they have failed me. I’ve always liked brands that offer quality products at reasonable price. I want Brands to make products for the AVERage woman of India who does not have 5000Rs to spare on Makeup every Month. Essence is an European Brand which is affordable and has some really nice products off their sleeve . I picked up the Essence Long Lasting Lipstick Coral Calling , because I wanted something different than the pinks I have been picking up lately.

These Lipsticks come in a black plastic packaging which does not feel very tacky or flimsy. The lipstick packaging is rather small and it fits well into the smallest of my purses, making it very travel friendly. The lipstick case has the alphabel ‘e’ embossed on the lipstick cover . There is a color coded sticker below the lipstick casing, showing the shade number and shade. There is also a plastc ring which shows the shade . Comapring these with the popular MUA lipsticks I’d say I love the packaging of these better.

Usage Experience/ Review of Essence Long Lasting Lipstick Coral Calling :
I’ve used MUA lipsticks and can say safely that these are quite the same texture. The shade Coral Calling is a Coral shade with strong pik and orange tones. On me it looks more orange than pink . I would say, after my Maybelline Moisture Extreme bronze Orange, this is my new favorite shade.
The texture of these lipsticks are creamy , ssemi opaque and non -drying. Since I have pigmented lips, I used a Nu*e lip liner and topped it with this lipstick. If you have very dark or pigmented lips, these will not be able to cover your lip color. These are semi opaque and make for good shade to wear everyday. Two to three swipes cover my lips and make them glossy and hydrated. They do not dry my lips out.

Staying power is average and I got a maximum of 2.5 Hour weartime from this shade without heavy meals. The shade does not stain lips or settle into fine lines. I would suggest you match this with a same shaded lip liner for maximum wear time. I used Maybelline Lip Liner in Coral and it was a very close match .
