The Erdem x H&M collection will be making it's retail arrival online and in stores on November 2. The Swedish fast fashion chain has had considerable success with previous collabs which have included Marni, Isabel Marant, Stella McCartney, Lanvin and Maison Martin Margiela among others. Judging by the images in this look book, the collection perfectly encapsulates the signature romantic aesthetic of designer Erdem Moralioglu in the form of floral prints and lace embellished frocks and silk suits. According to a press release, this capsules aims to "reinterpret the design themes from some of his most celebrated collections." and will include his first foray into menswear.
These designer collabs are incredible because of how luxury ready-to-wear is translated into accessible and affordable fashion for us regular folks. While not all of these pieces are exactly appropriate for every day wear, the holidays are around the corner and the dresses are certainly holiday party perfect and the separates could definitely be worked into daytime looks depending on how they're styled. I'm totally eyeing with the first dress which is giving off some serious couture vibes with it's fit and flare silhouette and ribbon edged detailing. The pajama style ensemble also looks impossibly chic and comfortable at the same time.
So as I was writing this, I just happened to receive an invitation to an exclusive event to preview and shop the collection with Baz Lurhmann and H&M. I immediately checked my calendar and sent my RSVP with a yes. Maybe I need to write about winning the lottery now LOL
