Episode 166, Camp Pain 2016

Episode 166, Camp Pain 2016Time for the quadrennial American agitation theater play, the election of the next President of these United States.
It seems like it wasn’t that long ago that we were talking about the 2012 cycle, and I hope you remember how that one went. It was disappointing and painful to be sure. And this time around the early signs are that we're off to Camp Pain all over again.
The main difference this time, of course, is that unless there's a dictatorial coup (unlikely), Obama will stop being President on January 20, 2017 at the moment his successor is sworn in. The election will take place on November 8, 2016, fifteen months from now. I’m interested in a specific question regarding Camp Pain 2016. Crystal ball time for TSOP.
Meanwhile, America is headed for the cliff. We’re on a runaway train, the government is robbing us blind, the Republicans and Democrats are fighting over who gets to keep the loot, and somewhere up ahead, the bridge is out. We can’t just hold things where they are, or roll things back a little. The passengers need to get up out of their seats, beat back the robbers, and take control.
The question for this podcast?  Which of the Democrat and Republican candidates have the best chance of reversing America's course of continuing decline, increasing unrest, and violent revolution?  Which candidate, by becoming a revolutionary President, could make an actual shooting revolution unnecessary?
