It’s always a glorious day when there’s plenty of new engagement ring eye candy to peruse. And it’s even better when said engagement rings provide a little something different for everyone. There is absolutely no shortage of diversity when it comes to diamond engagement rings – just like there are multitudes of different personalities, there are engagement rings to suit each and every one of them. This week, our favorites definitely span the spectrum of engagement ring styles, with different diamond cuts, diamond colors (hello fancy yellow it’s always lovely to see you), sizes and styles. Even a few different metal types and colors keep things interesting, so let’s dive in.
First up is this absurdly gorgeous Van Cleef and Arpels engagement ring. The rich, buttery fancy yellow center stops just short of hypnosis (and could definitely put us under if we stared just a tad longer). Not only is it designed and set by one of the greatest jewelers in history, it features a stunning 3.32 carat radiant cut fancy yellow diamond with VS2 clarity. The side stones are 1.20ctw trilliant cuts H/I in color and VS1 in clarity. All of the diamonds are certified by GIA. The ring itself is a warm 18kt gold that comprises a minimalist mounting, letting the diamonds truly shine. This ring is a showstopper.
A more contemporary engagement ring, this diamond pave split shank engagement ring is a modern beauty. We just love the impeccable pave on the 18kt white gold, not only on the shank but on the center stone’s halo too. The cushion cut diamond is .80 ct, but with all of the pave the ring’s total weight is 1.20 carats. The main stone is a great example of budget stretching with near perfect grades, rather than perfect: it’s an I color (still a pretty imperceptible hint of color to the diamond) with an SI1 clarity grade from EGL.
Yet another fancy yellow diamond ring, this one is a 180 from the minimalist Van Cleef and Arpels design. A beautiful 2.07 carat fancy yellow diamond is mounted in a yellow gold bezel setting. It could stop there, but this ring’s philosophy clearly states “more is more” so a graduated ring of micropave white stones creates a double halo around the ring. Not content with the amount of diamonds, the sparkle party continues onto the quadruple split shank and the intricate gallery, bringing the grand diamond carat total weight to a whopping 4.01 carats. The ring’s massive size makes a huge impact, but not nearly as big as its magnificent diamonds do.
If the last ring wasn’t unique enough for your tastes, perhaps this number will tickle your fancy. And fancy it is – that incredible 2.70 carat trillion cut diamond is unique, rare, and absolutely stunning. With an I color and SI1 clarity, it makes good use of its standout shape and brilliant cut by capturing your attention. We love the way it looks suspended by its faux-tension set platinum mounting. And just to ensure it meets its diamond quota, the micropave on the split shank band raises the total diamond weight to 4.70 carats.
