Engagement rings are unique to their wearers’ tastes (duh.) But seriously, the amount of variety int he engagement ring world is properly reflective of the huge variety of personalities, tastes, styles and budgets. And so we love to focus on one type of engagement ring at a time here (princess cuts, split shanks, halos, etc.) but sometimes you just need to ogle totally different but equally amazing engagement rings. With various styles from antique style to contemporary classics, the engagement rings we obsess over can really be loved by any number of ladies (or gents with small fingers…or a fondness for pinkie rings. But we prefer bold metal looks for men’s engagement rings.) These three rings are pretty much as different as you can get. One super 80′s geometric stunner with yellow gold setting and all. Another is a spin on the ultimate classic round solitaire with designer chops and a sweet birth mark. The third is a huge (but really, BIG) pear shape, which is quickly becoming our new favorite diamond shape, encased in the chicest setting of our time, the micropave halo. They’re unique, they’re totally different, but each would look lovely on the perfect girl’s finger.
This ring is a perfect example of priorities in engagement ring shopping. Now, compared to the first two rings, this I1 clarity graded pear might not send your heart into flutter mode. But please bear two things in mind before you write it off: 1) this is a high def picture, with no photoshop (see an Instagram pic here) 2) you have to give and take in the diamond world unless you have an unlimited budget. So yes, it is included, but if carats are the most important C for you, you’re getting a 4.58 carat I/J colored rock for just under $35k. And the stone is set to maximize its potential with eye-catching micropave surrounding the diamond and lining the split shank mounting!
