Well, we've finally hit the end of 2024 but before we can officially call it a wrap let's reflect on some of the most circulated topics that made it's way from water cooler talk to mainstem headlines . Starting with none other than the Baby Oil King himself P-Diddy.
Who would have thought just a few months ago the news would be flooded with talk of Diddy the billionaire mogul who made hit after hit figuratively and literally. Now behind bars facing time for heinous crimes he committed inside and outside the music industry. So far Diddy is just one of many billionaires to be exposed with Jay-Z maybe now not far behind.
I've never seen so many artist and celebrities in the mass media celebrating in the arrest of a fellow celebrity like they celebrated the arrest of Diddy. Crazy.
Diddy is going down in history not only as one of the greatest contributors in the music industry blessing us with artist such as The Notorious B.I.G, Faith Evans, Cassie, 112, Shyne, Mase, Total, Bow Wow, Yung Joc, Carl Thomas, French Montanan, Craig Mack, Lil John. Dirty Money, Foxy Brown, Machine Gun Kelly, Janelle Monae and let's not forget Fabolous and the whole Bad Boy Family but he'll also go down in history as the billionaire mogul that brought the stock market shares to an all times low when it comes to baby oil. Baby oil hasn't gotten that much attention since a Diddy party. Now with the year closing Diddy is still behind bars facing multiply charges ranging from sexual assault to sex trafficking and that's just the top of the ice berg according to the mass media, it's a rabbit hole that goes pretty dip and like R.Kelly Diddy is not the only rabbit in the hole.
Moving along the year can't come to a close without discussing and acknowledging the King of Compton himself Kendrick Lamar who reigns supreme when it comes to the music industry currently. Mr. Lamar has broken records this year with his track "They not like us,' along with his new release "Turn the T.V. off, Luther ft SZA and Squabble up." But of course he couldn't reign supreme without knocking someone off the thrown with that someone in this case being none other than the Lover Boy himself Aubrey Graham aka Champagnepapi. The feud between the two got so bad that Drake filed a lawsuit against Universal Music Group alleging they artificially boosted the "They not like us," track.
Then the talk about Kendrick doesn't stop there, there's more. It was mixed emotions regarding Kendrick performing at the 2025 Super Bowl half time show due to the game being held in Louisiana which is home to none other than Cash Money's own Little Wayne.
Now although the discussion ultimately came down to Jay-Z some people fell as though Shawn should have went with Louisiana's own Dwayne Carter, Jr.
Nonetheless, everyone is still looking forward to Kendrick representing for Compton, Ca. and delivering nothing less than a turnt up performance! And despite all the controversy Kendrick has faced, he's done nothing but continues to flourish in the music industry being considered Midus as everything he has his hands on right now is turning to gold.
As far as Champagnepapi he's out there somewhere planning his comeback and when he does we'll all be waiting as we can't fully forget before this feud between him and Kendrick, Drake did grace us with some fire tracks. Therefore, may good things come to the both of them.
Well as Mariah said " It's a wrap," ya'll 2024 has officially come to a close as Katt Williams opened the year as the most talked about stand up comedian taking reign as the GOAT for breaking the internet with his appearance on "Club Shay Shay" to us now closing the year with another high profile celebrity behind bars while Kendrick and Drake go bar for bar, Drake reaching out to the Bar as it’s all have seem to gone to far...Lol
Well, we'll see who'll make it into relatable topics in 2025 as if you know not every topic makes it on this blog. Therefore, cheers to a prosperous New Year ahead and thank you to all my readers! Feel free to drop me a hey gurl hey in the comments!
