The 2022 Oscar's Will Smith Vs Chris Rock, The Slap That Echoed For Days

Well People It's Been A Minute, But A Slap Hasn't Made This Much Noise Since, Well This Past Sunday Night At The 2022 Oscars... And I Think It's Because We All Felt It...

While, and of course, the internet stampede is about Will Smith slapping the Black off Chris Rock's face at the Oscars Thursday night... I mean slapping the taste out this man's mouth. Here's the real question everyone's asking, " Who was wrong, Will Smith or Chris Rock?"

Was it Will Smith for reacting the way he did, swearing, getting up out of his seat walking up the stage, hauling off, and slapping Chris Rock for making a joke about Jada's alopecia condition? Or was it Chris Rock wrong for making an insensitive joke about Jada? What are your thoughts? Because honestly, both men made each other look immature and juvenile. As an adult and by doing a documentary called "Good Hair" based on Black women's self-esteem when it comes to our hair Chris Rock should have been more tactful displaying more sense than shooting on a Black Queen period. Especially, when she's dealing with a condition that causes her to lose her hair. Because when it comes to women and our hair, speaking as a woman of color we're like Ericka Badu says's "Sensitive about our ish."

Then, on the other hand, Will Smith could have been more tasteful in how he handled the matter because truth is told he laughed at the J.I. Jane joke about his wife too until he saw Jada's reaction then he wanted to get all "Mike Larry" on his "Bad Boys" tip with Chris Rock which was very distasteful knowing Chris Rock wasn't a threat. Simply expressing the distastefulness of the quote-on-quote joke would have been just as constructive. Because come on Will you didn't see Christ Rock when you slapped him, you saw August Alsina, the man you should've and really wanted to slap the sh*t out of for having an affair with your wife. And as the saying goes " it's not what you do, it's how you do it." And Will Smith didn't do it "Big Willie" style at all, he handled it in a very elementary way.

Will Smith has been waiting on the opportunity to show Jada he's truly a thug like her Ex, Tupac (R.I.P) for a while now but that wasn't the moment nor opportunity to prove that, especially not by slapping Chris Rock over a hair joke. I understand they were amongst peers but when the WORLD gossiped and etc. about Jada's "Entanglement" Will didn't slap August, but he'd slap Chris Rock?! Over a joke instead of slapping the sh*t out of August for sleeping with his wife. Mad Points lost

Now, I could've seen Will slapping Chris over Jada if he would've slapped the sh*t out of August then I'd been like " Well, Chris you already know Will don't play about his wife" but that's not the case in this matter. So, I can't be team Will on this one for the other fact, you Can Not Slap a person because of something they said that you don't like or agree with. After all, if that was the case people would be getting slapped every second of the day. Therefore, I'm Rockin with Chris Rock because he's a comedian, and telling jokes is what he does, although the joke wasn't funny because of the sensitive nature of it, I don't think he deserved to get slapped, maybe cursed out but not slapped. Another reason I'm riding with Chris Rock is because of the way he reacted to Will Smith's actions, he remained composed and professional even after being slapped which I'm sure took a lot of self-discipline on his behalf because I was taught "If somebody hit you, you better turn around and hit they azz back." So, kudos to Chris Rock for handling that situation better than a lot of other people in the Black community would've had in his position.

Moving on, there was no win in this matter because two wrongs don't make a right and both men were wrong but there are two things for sure, we all should have learned from the 2022 Oscars, what alopecia is because I'm sure anyone who didn't know by now has Googled it and that you should Neva, Neva, Neva, Eva ( In My Chris Tucker Voice) talk about a woman and her hair because if she doesn't slap the sh*t out of you maybe her man Will.
