Well, I haven’t done this in a long time (last one was in June 2013!) But it’s time to get back in to it because goodness only knows I need to get through a products before I buy any more.
Here are a few products I’ve finished over the last several months…
Kiehl’s Soy Milk & Honey Body Polish, $40.00 (200mL)
This has been my favorite body scrub for a long time and I’ve gone through THREE of these since I last did an empties post. It’s creamy, not too harsh on the skin and when you jump out of the shower your skin feels soft and smooth. I highly recommend this product if you’ve got keratosis pilaris (KP). Definitely repurchasing this.
Available from the Kiehl’s website and stores, as well as counters at Myer and David Jones.
Models Prefer Retractable Eyebrow Pencil in ‘Medium’, $10.99
I’ve been using this particular brow pencil for a while but once I finished I decided to move on to something else. This product is a decent brow product because it doesn’t grab, pigmented and there’s no need to sharpen it. It’s only fault is that it’s just a little too soft for me. But if that’s your thing and you don’t want to be spending too much money, this is one worth purchasing. I won’t be repurchasing this.
Available from Priceline.
Essence Liquid Ink Eyeliner Waterproof, $4.50 (3mL)
I got through these like no one’s business! At least ONE a month. I didn’t like the brush at first but I’ve since gotten used to it. I’ve got THREE of these in my top drawer for when it dries out. Note: They’ve changed the packaging for this product now; it’s now all blue. (PS. If your local Essence stand doesn’t have this product, it’s because I’ve purchased it before you.)
Available from Priceline and anywhere that sells Essence products.
Lime Crime Velvetine in ‘Pink Velvet’, $24.00
YES! I finished this product this month and I’m pretty stoked about it. The product is AMAZING and everything in between. I’m just extremely hesitant to repurchase because the CEO and founder of Lime Crime is a little bit of a bully. While it’s OK to have attitude, I think she just needs to take it down on a notch (or two) and be more professional. Anyway, this wasn’t meant to be a rant, I don’t know if I should support this brand even though I do admire their products a lot.
Available from the Hub Makeup and Drop Dead Dollbaby. Price may vary.
The Body Shop Chamomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter, $21.95 (90mL)
I remember when this collection was launched at The Body Shop and I was really keen to try out this product. I have to say that I did love it and I do recommend it to those who are interested in a cleansing balm. It just melt off your all your makeup – including waterproof eye makeup. Just apply it on your face, massage gently and leave it there for a few minutes (wash your hair or shave your legs) and then rinse it off. All makeup will be gone and your skin will be silky smooth. Would repurchase.
Available from The Body Shop stores and online.
The Body Shop Honeymania Body Scrub, $23.95 (200mL)
This was another product I bought when the collection was released and I just LOVE it! I love the honey scent, the scrub wasn’t too harsh on the skin so you could use it everyday. One 200mL will last you FOREVER too. Also, if you haven’t heard The Body Shop has drop their prices by around $4-5, so now it’s more affordable. I haven’t repurchased this because I’m trying another one out.
Available from The Body Shop stores and online.
Dr. Organic Rose Otto Shampoo & Conditioner, $11.21 each (265mL)
This is my FAVOURITE shampoo and condition because not only does it smell amazing, I find that I don’t need to wash my hair as often – up to a week between washes. I’m really impressed with these and I’m yet to try the other scents as well. Repurchased these already.
Available from Natural Health Organics and some good health food stores.
Butter London Melt Away Cuticle Eliminator, $18.00
This has been my go-to cuticle remover for a couple of years now and I just love it! Everyone know the reputation of Butter London nailpolishes and this isn’t any different. It doesn’t smell weird and you don’t need much to melt away cuticles. I find with regular use your cuticles start behaving themselves. I’ve already repurchased this.
Available from good health food stores. Price may vary.
Evolution of Smooth (EOS) ‘Berry Blossom’ Hand Cream, $4.50* (44mL)
I wish these were more popular in Australia but there are a few online stores who stock their amazing lip balm spheres. I bought these on eBay and they’re impressive. Not sticky and isn’t too scented. Organic skincare is always good. Unfortunately, the only way you can get your paws on this is to shop eBay.
Premium Spa Salt Body Scrub Rosehip & Shea, $14.99 (250g)
I love this salt scrub (I wrote a product review on it earlier this year) and since then I’ve purchased this twice already.
Available from Priceline.
Burt’s Bees White Tea Facial Wipes, $9.99 (30 wipes)
I love Burt’s Bees products but for some reason, I didn’t like these wipes and it had mostly to do with the scent of these. Another thing I didn’t like was that it didn’t remove that much makeup off and required a little more force to remove. I also got a very had skin reaction to it. It made my skin sting a lot more and sometimes I had a burning sensation on my cheeks. Also when you go to the last few wipes they dried out before you could finish them. Even when you use the upside-down method it just doesn’t work. Not repurchasing.
Available from Priceline and anywhere that sells Burt’s Bees products.
Swisspers Spa White Tea Facial Cleansing Wipes, $6.29 (30 wipes)
Lastly… another white tea facial wipes (I’m fairly certain I was going through a phase) and like the other wipes, I just didn’t like these either. I ended up not even finishing these because I didn’t like the smell and what it did to my skin.
I bought these from Priceline but I’m not too sure if the Swisspers Spa products are available anymore. I haven’t seen them in a long time.
