Ishtiaq Ahmed Khan, Secretary Election Commission of Pakistan has declared that election schedule will only be issued after dissolution of assemblies. It is worth mentioning that National assembly is due to be dissolved on 16th of March 2013. It is expected that provincial assemblies will also be dissolved same day to pave way same day elections national as well as provincial assemblies.
Secretary ECP further disclosed that a cell consisting of NADRA, State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and ECP officials has been setup for effective scrutiny of all the candidates.
He further said that majority of people of Pakistan wants effective implementation of Article 62 and 63 and hoped that same will be implemented in true spirit in forthcoming election
