The whiskey isn't nearly as good as that fantastic 10-year-old Eagan's Single Malt Irish Whiskey of theirs, but it's not a bad grain at all; I wish I had picked up another bottle of the malt to play with some blends just to see what I could come up with. Could be a good project for the next St. Paddy's day. Anyways, on the Irish Whiskey review!

Egan's Vintage Grain is an exceptionally smooth and characterful Single Grain Irish Whiskey, brimming with charming sweetness and warm spices. It is a celebration of the extraordinary industry and endeavour of our forefathers and their passion for the craft of malting, brewing and bottling.

Egans Single Grain Irish Whiskey Review: Overall and Score
Banana is a dominant character here. Aroma is roasted banana heavy with some lighter sweet notes swirling about. The Palate is more like Banana Quik / banana flavored milk with marshmallowy and light sweet layers. The finish is done in a flash but leaves behind a trail of, you guessed it, banana.
Egans Single Grain Irish Whiskey is not a bad whiskey, it's just not a complex, deep or overly interesting grain whiskey. There are things to enjoy about it, but on the whole, it's just light and uninteresting and sits in direct opposition to the deeply interesting Egan's Single Malt; which I highly recommend trying.
SCORE: 79/100 (C+)
