I'm sure you're all probably fed up of me mentioning Edinburgh after spending a few days there last week but after looking back on the photos that I took and just remembering the beautiful views and the overall feeling of the city, I just had to give it it's own space as a post. Now I live about an hour's train journey away from Edinburgh and can honestly say that I have only been in the capital a handful of times (with the majority of these times taking place during school trips and jaunts to the book festival when I was part of my high school's reading club, oh the shame) so I thought it would be the perfect place to take David for a little holiday as part of his 21st this year. So off we popped with our cases in tow and before we knew it we were there.
After reliving the gorgeous city and having a good old adventure around Edinburgh, there are so many sights and places to explore and I would definitely recommend it if you are ever looking for a short break away within the UK. Between the beautiful buildings along the Royal Mile, Edinburgh Castle, shopping along Princes Street, relaxing in Princes Street Gardens and plenty more experiences available such as seeing the pandas at Edinburgh Zoo or having a scare in the Edinburgh Vaults and Dungeons, you are sure to find something to keep you entertained and provide you with lots of lovely memories to take home!
