Tonight I’ve whipped up one of my go-to lazy Sunday night pasta dishes. It is THE easiest Carbonara recipe you’ll ever find – I give you my word.
You’ll be familiar with my bacon lust-affair in this recipe and this recipe so surely it will come as no surprise that bacon goodness is key to the deliciousness of this. You will love how simple and how yum this is!
This is what you’ll need ..
- Bacon {love} – I use a 250g pack – sliced or diced
- Ham – roughly 100g – one of those double jointed packs is perfect – finely sliced or diced
- mushrooms – roughly 350g – sliced
- shallots – as many as you want
- cream – 300ml tub
- sour cream – 300ml tub
- pasta – 375 – 500g – depends how many mouths are being fed
How to …
- in a frypan – cook up the bacon and ham and then add the sliced mushrooms and shallots. Cook a bit longer.
- add the tub of cream and the tub of sour cream. Stir until it is all mixed and saucy. Done, that’s your sauce!
- cook and drain your pasta.
- add pasta to sauce in frypan. Stir to coat thoroughly.
- go eat!
And yep, it lived up to expectation - extraordinarily easy and ohhhhhhhmy so delicious!
