Dusky is back in a big way with the first track ‘Jilted’ off of their forthcoming ‘Ordinary World EP’, set for release July, 31st.
The ominous track begins with a swelling bass undercurrent and subtle ticking snares that kick up a palpable and foreboding tension, climaxing into choppy pounding beats and other-worldly haunting exotic vocals that caress the tune. A pulsating progression of sounds rise to the top, while the synths seem to encircle the melody. Jilted’s eerie and erotic undertones are perfectly fitting for the underground aficionado and after hours prowler.
The title ‘Jilted’ encompasses the feeling of hearing the song for the first time, and knowing that the EP won’t be out until July…
