It is an uplifting and hazy summer romance song. For every moment of sheer joy, there is one of wistful longing. While he is looking back at the best of 60s pop, he’s obviously firmly lucid of the present while choosing to forgo the vapid trendiness of it, taking instead an alternate future—where people actually give peace a chance and a girl with honey tiger eyes notices you.
