Drought Tolerant Green Gardens

By Vsudarsan

California is still in a drought and we are hoping for a lot of rain this winter. Until this happens, it is really important for each one of us to conserve water in every possible way. Well, that doesn't mean that we should allow our landscapes to shrivel and dry up. There are several plants can grow to be lush without requiring much water. In this blog post, I've rounded up some drought tolerant green gardens that totally amaze me. I also learnt that succulents are not the only plants that are water-resistant. There are other plants such as the Western Sycamore, the English Ivy, the Wind Dancer the Love Grass, the Vinca Major Green, and more. You should talk to your local nursery to find out more about these native plants and how you can incorporate them into your own eco-friendly garden.

What I like about these green gardens is the how well succulents, ornamental grass, and native plants are mixed with rocks and mulch to add distinctive colors and textures to these gardens. It does take quite a bit of time, money, and effort to convert a dry lawn to plush garden.. but after seeing all these landscapes, I think it is totally worth it! Don't you agree?
